香り：香ばしいアーモンド、ミーティー、複雑なピート、上質なケチャップ、少しの硫黄、乾いた麦、ワックス、魚醤。
味：厚みを感じるリッチなボディ、複雑なピート、ナッツ、少しの硫黄、ケチャップ、甘さ控えめのオランジェット、カカオパウダー、炭、酸味、ミルクチョコレート。後口は非常に複雑で、ミーティーだが心地よい。
総評：ホグスヘッドのみの表記ですが、香味も色味もシェリー系の樽のように感じられました。
香味は、スペックから想像するよりも遥かに複雑で、ミーティーなニュアンスが強いです。
時折、少しの硫黄っぽさも感じますが、大きくバランスを崩すようなものではなく、むしろ複雑さに寄与していると思います。
硫黄系のニュアンスが苦手な方には無理にオススメしませんが、明らかに大器というか高いポテンシャルを誇るボトルです。
未開栓のボトルで10年~20年で置くと、2000年代のカリラとしてはスーパーエースとなると思えるものでした。

The flavor profile is far more complex than one might expect from the specifications, with a pronounced meaty nuance. At times, a slight hint of sulfur can be detected, but it doesn’t disrupt the overall balance; rather, it seems to contribute to the complexity. While not recommended for those who dislike sulfur notes, this is clearly a bottle with great potential. If left unopened for 10 to 20 years, it could become a super ace among 2000s Caol Ila releases. Hats off to the discerning eye and sheer luck of the person who selected this cask.
